Judith and René Janssen run the versatile company De Twirre with great pleasure. Together with an enthusiastic club of instructors, they guide group outings in De Alde Feanen with activities from sailing to survival. De Twirre established itself in Eernewoude in 1997.

The Sail House in Eernewoude

A spacious and cozy luxury apartment on the water in the middle of the National Park the Alde Feanen. The apartment has its own theme: "Sailing" and is therefore called the Sailing House. In the apartment there are all kinds of attributes related to this theme. The living room (65 m2) is decoratively lined with sails, a bar made from an old wooden sailing boat and the large table used to serve as the sword of a flatboat. There is also a robust wood-burning stove. Through the French doors you enter the terrace where in summer there is an attractive stretch tent with lounge chairs.
At the back is a large bar table overlooking the water and a hot tub for 4. At the dock on the water is a poly-falcon which belongs to the house and may be used at all times provided the captain is an experienced sailor. There is also an optimist available free of charge for young sailors....
