There was a time when a standard meeting room—complete with a standard lunch buffet and coffee from a thermos—was enough...
Those days are gone! In the business world, too, we are all looking for unique experiences rather than run-of-the-mill options—experiences that give us stories to tell and photos to post. At Leonardo Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden, the possibilities are endless, and you never have to worry about quality. After all, sometimes "standard" is convenient—for a brief informational meeting, for instance. But at other times, you might want something exuberant and over-the-top, or perhaps a "back-to-basics" approach with an open fire in a log cabin. Meetings, seminars, training sessions, and events—Leonardo Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden can host them all.
Leonardo Oranje Hotel has been around since 1879 and has undergone several renovations over the years. It is the perfect place to stay for a weekend getaway in charming Leeuwarden. You can visit our Lobby | Lounge at any time of day for coffee and cake or for a sociable drink and a snack. Leonardo Oranje Hotel is located directly opposite the train station and just a five-minute walk from the historic city center.
Leonardo Oranje Hotel features five meeting rooms, all equipped with modern facilities. We have a total maximum capacity of 425 people. The rooms are situated at the rear of the hotel, ensuring a quiet environment for your meetings. Our five meeting rooms are ideally suited for one-day or multi-day training sessions. Since the rooms are located close together, you can book a main plenary room alongside several breakout rooms. The meeting complex also includes a private bar where you can enjoy lunch or host drinks to wrap up a training session. Our rooms are also ideal for events, with a maximum capacity of 500 people.
Just as important as good coffee during your meeting is scheduling one or more breaks. A meeting break refreshes, boosts energy, improves concentration, and can even strengthen the bond between colleagues. That is reason enough to schedule a few well-deserved breaks. Want to do something active between meetings? Or wrap up a successful meeting with a fun team-building outing? From cooking workshops and bike tours to stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), our colleagues are happy to help you explore the possibilities.
Eden Hotels operates with a focus on sustainability regarding both the 'software' (our people) and the 'hardware' (the hotels themselves). We strive to make a difference wherever we can—which is why all our hotels hold Green Key certification. Our goal is for all our hotels to become part of a carbon-neutral business. To achieve this, we have identified technical solutions that we will implement wherever possible and practical. We focus on water, energy, and minimizing waste. Because sustainability is a top priority for us, it is naturally factored into every purchasing decision we make—from Fairtrade wines to the water served in our hotels and restaurants. Since late 2019, all Eden Hotels have offered a sustainable breakfast based on the principles of Dutch Cuisine: a breakfast buffet featuring regional and seasonal products designed to reduce our climate impact.
