With its industrial yet modern style, this unique venue offers a capacity that few others in the area can match. The restaurant is surrounded by a beautiful garden and terrace, providing an exclusive yet welcoming atmosphere for its guests.
In spring, the terrace opens, increasing both capacity and flexibility. The venue can be divided into three different spaces or used as a whole, suitable for everything from small private events to large-scale celebrations:

Terrace: Capacity for several hundred people in an open, sunny setting with seating, greenery, and a small pond.

Garden: Perfect for events of up to 600 people.

Bistro: Accommodates 250–300 people for private gatherings.
When combining all areas—the terrace, garden, and bistro—Sophias can host up to 800 guests.
This venue is not only flexible in terms of space but also highly accommodating when it comes to the wishes of its guests. The team works closely with suppliers to tailor decorations, catering, entertainment, and staff to meet guests’ needs.
Sophias is ideally located, less than a two-minute walk from both the train and bus stations, right in the center of Leeuwarden. Parking is available nearby.
